Glass Bridge Tickets and Extras
Canyon only or canyon plus glass bridge, what is sold separately (bungee, zipline, slide), and when to book on the scenic area's own site instead.
See Zhangjiajie tours on GetYourGuide ↗Quick answer
To walk the glass bridge, book the B line, which covers the bridge and the canyon walk and takes about three and a half hours by the scenic area's own estimate. The A line is the canyon only. The bungee, zipline, glass slide and other thrills are sold separately, so don't assume they are covered. You will need your passport name and number at booking. For a bridge-only ticket or the shorter B1 route, use the scenic area's own ticket page.

A line or B line?
The scenic area sells its routes as lines. The A line is the Grand Canyon on foot, about 3 km and about 3 hours, with waterfalls, the narrow One Line Sky gorge and Shenquan Lake. It does not cross the glass bridge. The B line adds the bridge, the bungee platform and the Sky Hanging Plank Road to the canyon walk, about 3.5 km and about 3.5 hours. If the bridge is why you are here, the B line is the one. The GetYourGuide ticket lets you choose either.
What the walk passes
Both lines share most of the canyon. The scenic area's route list names the One Line Sky gorge, Rainbow Square, Tianhe Waterfall, the Shenquan Gorge, Five-Color Lake, the Bandit and Momo caves, and Shenquan Lake at the end. The B line starts differently: from the visitor centre it goes past the canyon theatre to the bridge, then the bungee platform, the bridge-east visitor centre and the Sky Hanging Plank Road, before it joins the canyon route. Some routes use lifts and a slide, which is why walking time varies.
What the GetYourGuide ticket is
It is an entry ticket valid for one day, not a tour, so plan your own transport. After you book, the operator asks for your full name exactly as it appears on your passport, plus your passport number. If those details do not reach the operator in time, the booking can be cancelled and a cancellation fee can apply. The GetYourGuide QR code is not the ticket you scan at the gate, so wait for the operator's email. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before when you book through GetYourGuide.
What is not in the price
Treat the extras as separate purchases. The scenic area lists a bungee jump, a zipline across the canyon, a glass slide at One Line Sky, sightseeing and treasure-hunt lifts, a VR ride, and a climbing route up two of the bridge's support pillars. Its ticket page sells the bungee as its own product. Before you count on the boat at Shenquan Lake, where the main route ends, or on any ride, ask the operator in your booking message whether your line covers it. If you cannot get a clear yes, assume it costs extra.
The bungee
The scenic area gives the bungee drop as 260 metres from the bridge to the canyon floor and says a separate team operates it independently. Wikipedia gives a larger figure, 285 metres, so treat the exact number as approximate. It is booked on its own: nothing in the entry ticket puts you on the platform. The scenic area asks anyone who feels unwell not to attempt its thrill activities. Confirm that the bungee is running on your date before you plan a day around it.
Zipline, slide and swings
The zipline launches from a platform fixed to the canyon wall, as the photo shows. The glass slide runs through One Line Sky, and the scenic area presents it as a way to cover that stretch without walking. Wikipedia also mentions three long swings fixed under the bridge deck. We could not confirm from the scenic area's pages which of these run on a given day or what each one costs, so ask before you book and keep them out of your budget until you have an answer.
Booking on the scenic area's own site
The scenic area's ticket page lists a canyon-only ticket, a bridge-plus-canyon ticket, a bridge-only ticket, a shorter 1.5 km bridge-plus-canyon route called B1, and the bungee. The buy buttons lead to a separate sales platform, and the site is mostly in Chinese, with links to English-language Trip.com listings. Book this way if you want the bridge-only ticket or the B1 route, because the GetYourGuide ticket offers only the A and B lines. The official pages do not explain how a foreign passport or card is handled at checkout, so check before you rely on it.
Going without a ticket in hand
Do not plan to buy at the gate. The bridge was designed to carry up to 800 people at a time. It closed on 2 September 2016, thirteen days after opening, because far more visitors arrived than expected, and it reopened on 30 September. Bridge tickets often sell out at busy times, so book ahead. A Wulingyuan national-park ticket does not cover the canyon: the Grand Canyon and Tianmen Mountain are separate scenic areas, each with its own ticket.
Which ticket suits which trip
Match the ticket to what you want from the day. The bridge is one part of a canyon walk that takes most of a morning, and the entry ticket does not include getting there. If you are unsure, choose the B line unless you are certain you only want the waterfalls and the gorge, then use this list to see where another seller fits better.
- Bridge and canyon walk, booked in English: the B line on GetYourGuide
- Canyon walk only: the A line, from either seller
- Bridge only, or the shorter B1 route: the scenic area's own ticket page
- Transport and a guide in one booking: a guided day tour
- Bungee, zipline or slide: buy them separately and ask first
Children, older visitors and passports
Reduced or free entry for children and older visitors exists, but the age limits and the small insurance charge differ between the pages we read, so do not assume a child's price is available on this ticket. Message the operator before you buy for anyone who is not an adult. Every visitor needs their own passport details on the booking, because the ticket is issued against a name and passport number. Carry the passport itself on the day, not a photo of it.
Who this isn't for
If you want one price that covers the bridge, the zipline, the slide and a boat with no extra decisions, this ticket is not that: look for a guided day tour that lists its inclusions. If you cannot send passport details ahead of time, it will not work for you. If heights or heart conditions worry you, take the A line or skip the bridge, because ticket sellers advise against it for people with heart disease, high blood pressure or a fear of heights.
Frequently asked questions
Which ticket do I need for the glass bridge?
The B line, which covers the glass bridge and the canyon walk. The A line is the canyon only and does not cross the bridge. The scenic area also sells a bridge-only ticket and a shorter B1 route on its own ticket page.
Is the bungee included in the ticket?
No. The scenic area sells the bungee as its own product, run by a separate team, and gives the drop as 260 metres. Confirm it is running on your date before you plan around it.
Do I need my passport?
Yes. The operator asks for your name exactly as on your passport and your passport number. Without them the booking can be cancelled, and a cancellation fee can apply. Carry the passport on the day too.
Can I cancel the booking?
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before when you book through GetYourGuide. The bridge can also close in severe weather. On the scenic area's own tickets, the scenic area sets the rules, so check them before you pay.
Are the zipline and the boat included?
Don't assume so. The Shenquan Lake boat sits at the end of the main route, but ask the operator whether your line covers it. The scenic area lists the zipline as a separate thrill activity, so plan for it as an extra.
How long does the B line take?
The scenic area gives about 3.5 hours for a 3.5 km walk, plus any queues or extras. Plan around half a day, and allow time to reach the entrance: the canyon is about an hour's drive from Zhangjiajie city.
